The right to attend all of our Club Meetings.

If you should visit Mauchline, one of our
Members will meet you by prior arrangement,
buy you a drink in Poosie Nansie's and show
you the sights of Mauchline.

- No Member of Mauchline Burns Club will benefit from
your membership. All subscriptions from Associate Members
will be used to improve and preserve ‘Burns–related’
facilities in the Mauchline area. The benefit to you
is that you know that you will be providing tangible
help with this.
Associate
Member Rules
•
The Mauchline Burns Club has decided
to form an Associate Member Section in order to promote
the works of Robert Burns to a worldwide audience.
•
Applications for Associate Membership
will be in writing and will be considered by the Committee
of The Mauchline Burns Club at their first Meeting after
receipt and will be accepted or rejected then.
•
Applications from any persons living
close enough to attend meetings regularly, in the sole
view of the Committee of The Mauchline Burns Club, shall
not be accepted for Associate Membership but instead
passed to the Secretary, who will advise the applicant
that they should apply in the normal way to become full
members of the Mauchline Burns Club. If an Associate
Member should move to live close enough to attend meetings
regularly, in the sole opinion of the Committee, they
shall no longer be Associate Members and shall apply
for full membership in the normal way.
•
Once accepted as an Associate Member,
the applicant will receive a certificate signed by the
President of The Mauchline Burns Club confirming Associate
Membership.
•
If Associate Members are in the area,
they are entitled to attend our meetings but not to
vote if there should be a vote on the occasion of their
visit.
•
By prior arrangement, The Mauchline
Burns Club will make every effort to meet an Associate
Member on their visit to Mauchline, to give them a guided
tour and hospitality in Poosie Nansie's .
•
The Committee of The Mauchline Burns
Club will have the power to expel any Associate Member
if, in their sole view, the Associate Member is damaging
the workings or reputation of The Mauchline Burns Club
in any way.
•
It is the duty of the Committee to
ensure that the above rules are adhered to.
